Renault has officially launched the 2026 Kwid facelift in India with updated styling, improved safety features, a simplified variant lineup, and a new factory-approved CNG option. Surprisingly, despite the updates, most variants are now more affordable than before, making the Kwid an even stronger option in the entry-level hatchback segment.

The updated Kwid is available in two variants – Evolution and Climber – with both manual and AMT gearbox options.

Although the starting price is slightly higher than the discontinued base variant, most other versions are up to ₹32,000 cheaper than the outgoing model.
Renault has also discontinued the Authentic and Techno variants, making the lineup simpler for buyers.
Renault is offering attractive online pricing for customers booking through its official website.
The online prices are:
Climber MT: ₹4.99 lakh
Climber AMT: ₹5.46 lakh
This makes the top-spec Climber variant even more attractive.
One of the biggest highlights of the updated Kwid is the introduction of an official CNG retrofit kit.
Customers buying the manual variants can install the factory-approved CNG kit at authorised Renault dealerships by paying an additional ₹70,450.
Renault is also offering:
3-year warranty
1 lakh km coverage (whichever comes first)
This gives buyers a reliable and warranty-backed CNG option.

The overall design remains familiar, but Renault has added a few cosmetic changes.
Exterior highlights include:
New 3D Renault logo
Redesigned dual-tone wheel covers
Updated silver-finished Kwid badge at the rear
Climber-specific styling on the top variant
The hatchback continues to feature:
LED DRLs
Halogen headlamps
Roof rails
Black body cladding
Rugged SUV-inspired design

Inside, the cabin remains largely the same but gets one noticeable update.
The Kwid now features:
New three-spoke steering wheel from the Renault Kiger
Updated Renault logo
Steering-mounted infotainment controls
Other features include:
8-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Wired Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
Semi-digital instrument cluster
Manual air conditioning
Front and rear power windows
Black fabric seats with yellow accents
Safety is one area where Renault has made significant improvements.
Dual airbags as standard

Other safety features include:
Rear parking camera
Rear parking sensors
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Hill Start Assist (AMT variants)
ABS with EBD
Seatbelt reminders
Keyless entry with central locking
Mechanically, there are no changes.
The 2026 Renault Kwid continues to use the familiar:
1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine
69 bhp
92.5 Nm torque
Transmission options include:
5-speed Manual
5-speed AMT
The Renault Kwid competes with:
Maruti Alto K10
Maruti S-Presso
Higher variants of the Maruti Celerio
The 2026 Renault Kwid brings meaningful improvements without increasing prices significantly. With better safety, a factory-approved CNG option, simplified variants, and lower prices for most trims, it offers excellent value for budget-conscious buyers.
While the styling and engine remain largely unchanged, the added safety features and official CNG kit make the updated Kwid a more practical choice for first-time car buyers and city commuters.
