BMW has officially unveiled the fifth-generation X5, bringing a fresh design, a completely redesigned interior and the widest range of powertrain options ever offered on the luxury SUV. The new X5 will be available with petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), fully electric and hydrogen fuel-cell powertrains, making it one of the most versatile luxury SUVs in BMW's lineup.
The biggest highlight is the debut of the all-electric BMW iX5, while a hydrogen-powered version will join the range at a later stage.

The new X5 adopts BMW's latest Neue Klasse-inspired design language while keeping its familiar SUV shape.
At the front, it gets:
Larger illuminated kidney grille
New 'double-X' LED lighting signature
Integrated daytime running lights, indicators and headlights
Standard Adaptive LED headlights with matrix high beam technology
From the side, the SUV features:
New flush 'BMW Winglet' door handles
Muscular wheel arches
Strong shoulder lines
21 to 23-inch alloy wheels
At the rear, BMW has redesigned the SUV with:
Slim LED tail lamps
Wider rear stance
New bumper design
Sportier M60e styling for the top variant
Customers can choose from 11 exterior colour options.

The standard model offers 655 litres of boot space, which expands to 1,850 litres after folding the rear seats.

BMW has given the X5 an all-new cabin with a cleaner and more premium layout.

Production of the new BMW X5 will begin in August 2026 at BMW's Spartanburg plant in the United States.
