Skoda has officially launched the Kodiaq RS in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹66.99 lakh. This performance-oriented SUV sits at the top of the Kodiaq lineup and is currently the fastest and most powerful Skoda model ever launched in the country.
The response from buyers has been impressive. Skoda revealed that the first batch of 50 units was completely sold out in just six minutes after bookings opened on June 22. The company is yet to confirm if another batch will be brought to India.

The Kodiaq RS costs around ₹20 lakh more than the top-spec Selection L&K variant, mainly because it is imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
The biggest highlight of the Kodiaq RS is its upgraded engine.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre EA888 four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces:
265 hp
400 Nm of torque
Compared to the standard Kodiaq, the RS delivers:
61 hp more power
80 Nm more torque

Power is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox with all-wheel drive (AWD).
Skoda claims the SUV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, making it the quickest Skoda ever sold in India.
Apart from the more powerful engine, the Kodiaq RS also gets several upgrades to improve driving dynamics.
These include:
Progressive steering for sharper handling
Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC Plus)
Adaptive suspension with 15 adjustable settings
Better ride comfort and cornering stability
These upgrades make the RS feel more engaging to drive than the standard Kodiaq.
Although it shares the same overall design as the regular Kodiaq, the RS looks much more aggressive.
Exterior highlights include:
20-inch alloy wheels
RS badges on the grille and tailgate
Larger roof spoiler
Dual stainless-steel exhaust tips
Gloss black front grille
Black ORVMs
Black roof rails
Black window surrounds
Black D-pillar finish
The Kodiaq RS is available in four colours:
Velvet Red
Magic Black
Moon White
Steel Grey
Inside, the cabin gets several sporty upgrades that distinguish it from the standard model.
Key highlights include:
RS-embossed sports seats
Red contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel and dashboard
Metal finish dashboard inserts
Premium interior materials
The cabin feels sporty while maintaining the comfort expected from a luxury SUV.

The Kodiaq RS comes loaded with premium features, including:
12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system
10.25-inch digital driver's display
Panoramic sunroof
Three-zone automatic climate control
Powered front seats
Seat ventilation
Seat heating
Massage function
Memory seats
Extendable thigh support
13-speaker Canton premium sound system
Wireless smartphone connectivity
Wireless charging
Skoda has equipped the Kodiaq RS with a long list of safety technologies.
Some key features include:
9 airbags
360-degree camera
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
Multiple driver assistance features
The Skoda Kodiaq RS competes with the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line in India.
While the Volkswagen SUV is priced much lower at ₹46.99 lakh, the Kodiaq RS offers:
More power
Adaptive DCC suspension
Better performance
Exclusive RS styling
This makes the Kodiaq RS a more focused performance SUV.
If you're looking for a premium seven-seater SUV that combines strong performance, luxury, and everyday practicality, the Skoda Kodiaq RS is a compelling option.
Its 265 hp turbo-petrol engine, AWD system, adaptive suspension, premium interior, and sporty styling make it stand out from the regular Kodiaq. While the ₹66.99 lakh price tag is on the higher side, buyers looking for an exclusive, performance-oriented luxury SUV will find plenty to like.
The Skoda Kodiaq RS is more than just a cosmetic upgrade. It brings significantly more power, improved handling, premium features, and sporty styling, making it the most exciting Kodiaq sold in India so far.
With the first batch selling out in just six minutes, it is clear that demand for high-performance luxury SUVs is growing. If Skoda announces another batch, the Kodiaq RS is likely to attract strong interest once again from enthusiasts looking for a practical SUV with genuine performance credentials.
