Maruti Suzuki eVX electric SUV India launch timeline officially revealed

India's largest passenger car maker, Maruti Suzuki, has officially confirmed the production and launch timeline for its highly anticipated first born-electric SUV, the eVX. Slated to make its commercial debut in the Indian market in the first quarter of 2026, the eVX represents a major technological leap for the brand.

State-of-the-Art Dedicated EV Platform

Unlike previous conversion EVs, the Maruti Suzuki eVX is built from the ground up on a brand-new, dedicated skateboard EV platform co-developed with Toyota. This layout pushes the wheels to the corners, providing an exceptionally spacious cabin and a low center of gravity for sporty road handling.

Battery Pack, Range, and Performance Specs

• Battery Pack: 60 kWh high-density lithium-ion battery.
• Certified Range: Up to 500 km on a single full charge (MIDC cycle).
• Drive Options: Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) and premium dual-motor All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) variants.
• Fast Charging: Supports up to 150kW DC fast charging, replenishment of 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
