Hyundai Creta EV spotted testing again ahead of early 2026 debut

The midsize SUV segment in India is about to witness an electric storm. Recent spy shots have surfaced showing the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV testing in near-production form. Intended for a launch in early 2026, the Creta EV will take the fight directly to the Tata Curvv EV and the MG ZS EV.
Visual Distinction from the ICE Creta
While the overall silhouette remains identical to the massively popular Creta facelift, the EV variant features distinct styling tweaks to optimize aerodynamics and efficiency:
- A fully closed front grille with integrated active air flaps.
- Futuristic 17-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels designed to lower drag.
- Redesigned front and rear bumpers with satin silver finishes.
- A subtle charging port cover mounted on the front bumper.
Powertrain and Battery Expectations
Under the hood, the Creta EV is expected to share its motor architecture with the globally proven Kona Electric. It will likely utilize a 45 kWh battery pack, offering a realistic real-world range of approximately 350 km to 380 km on a single charge. A single electric motor driving the front wheels will produce 136 horsepower, ensuring swift overtaking power.
